The Art of Watercolor – Intermediate Class (Rising 4th grade – Rising 8th grade children)

This is a four week course, meeting one day per week ON THE 1ST 4 THURSDAYS in June (3RD, 10TH, 17TH, 24TH). Skills taught will be progressive and students will create 2-3 project

In this course, the student will learn the basics of watercolor painting, including color mixing, application techniques and effects. We will look to nature for our inspiration and will paint landscapes, plants and animals. No experience is required and all supplies will be provided.

This class is being taught by Mrs. Ceri Hampton. Ceri Hampton, local resident of Chattanooga, has taught elementary schoolers for 22 years, fourteen of which were spent teaching art in private school. She loves helping children find the creativity inside themselves so that they grow in critical thinking and knowledge of master artists throughout history. She is inspired by the beauty of nature and believes that true art is found in the outdoor world. Come create with her!

The total cost of the 4 week course is $160 (plus taxes). A non-refundable deposit of $20 is due to reserve your space. The balance of $140 will be due upon arrival on the first day of class (June 3rd).
